What you'll do
We’re looking for a hands-on leader with a proven track record in building spacecraft GNC systems. You will own the end-to-end GNC stack-from requirements and architecture through design, implementation, and V&V, across simulations and flight hardware. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, hire and mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of our satellite programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative guidance, navigation, and control systems for satellite rendezvous & proximity operations
- Develop high-fidelity 6-DoF dynamics simulation software for GNC analysis and validation
- Plan and execute testing of GNC utilizing hardware-in-the-loop, monte carlo analysis, and algorithm unit testing
- Oversee the integration of guidance and navigation sensors including rendezvous sensors, star trackers, and GPS receivers into the satellite platform
- Design and implement mission profiles and algorithms working closely with the mission design and software teams
- Contribute to system-level design trades and ensure seamless integration of GNC with other subsystems
What we look for
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical or any related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience building spacecraft GNC systems
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, and Python
- Experience with GMAT, STK or other applicable astrodynamics tools
- Experience with control systems, filtering techniques, orbital mechanics, sensors and actuators, classical dynamics, and modeling & simulation
- Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery with the ability to lead cross-functional efforts and hit mission milestones
- You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapt quickly, and enjoy solving hard problems
